Mustard (taado)

Mustard is a large, brawny muscled member of the Spice Boys, working with Garlic Jr. during the Garlic Jr. Saga.
After aiding Garlic Jr. and the rest of the Spice Boys spread the Black Water Mist and capture Kami, he follows his comrades to Earth, where he helps take down the resistance near Kame House. Later, on Kami's Lookout, he fights Krillin and nearly kills him. Shortly after, Gohan destroys Salt.

Mustard becomes enraged at the loss of his ally and tries to attack Gohan, but gets pummeled by a kick from the young Saiyan and is left stunned. Gohan then proceeds to relentlessly kill him using a Masenko.

Salt

Salt is a short, red member of the Spice Boys. He wears Mongolian style clothing.
Salt and Mustard fight Gohan and Krillin atop Kami's Lookout. He fights against Gohan and almost wins, but when Salt fires several Ki Blasts at the young Saiyan, Krillin jumps in the way and takes damage instead. He is then killed by Gohan's Masenko that he learned from Piccolo. In "Fight with Piccolo", Salt also mentions having a sister.

Vinegar

Vinegar is a large, brawny member of the Spice Boys. He is large, and purple with dark brown hair. He is short tempered and arrogant when it comes to fighting. Like Garlic Jr., his power increases when the Makyo Star passes by Earth.
Vinegar is first seen when Garlic Jr. comes back from the Dead Zone. Later, with the Spice Boys, he attacks Kami's Lookout, capturing Mr. Popo, and later Kami. After the death of Salt and Mustard, Vinegar attacks Krillin, beating him up and kicking him over the edge of the Lookout. Vinegar is then killed by an enraged Gohan who fires two simultaneous Masenkos at him and Spice, destroying them both.

Spice

Spice is the leader of the the Spice Boys, and is Garlic Jr.'s right-hand man during the Garlic Jr. Saga.
Spice is a formidable warrior in his own right. Being the strongest of the Spice Boys, he possesses a frightening speed and ruthlessness, his speed even shocking Gohan. He has light blue skin, long pointy elf-like ears, and wears armor similar to that of Frieza's soldiers, but pink. He is modeled after Zarbon and shares similar traits. In addition, he bears a cape just as Zarbon does. During the Garlic Jr. Saga, he explains the presence of the Makyo Star and it's origins. Spice knows of Piccolo and Gohan and their past, such as Piccolo's fascination with the dark side and the fact that Gohan managed to defeat Garlic Jr. He is also the only one of the Spice Boys who initially knows everything about the Makyo Star and the Black Water Mist.
His personality is calm, and as such he speaks with a calm, light-pitched, Australian accent. He is slightly cynical, proud, like fellow Spice Boys, and has an appetite for fighting. He is very intelligent and informative, having complete confidence in himself, and his lord, Garlic Jr., who has his complete devotion and respect. He is unique due to his being a demon with enchanter-like abilities, including the strange ability to grow his hair extremely long and strangle opponents, as well as using an energy web to trap opponents, and a freeze hold he uses by raising his palm. Spice offers positions as Garlic Jr.'s soldiers to Gohan, Krillin and Piccolo. During Krillin and Gohan's fight with Salt and Mustard, Spice and Vinegar stand by as spectators, while Spice makes cynical comments on the fight.

After Mustard and Salt are killed by Gohan, he and Vinegar express anger and attempt a combination maneuver which is interrupted by Piccolo. He is impaled on a long spike during his fight with Gohan and presumed dead. However, like Garlic Jr. and Vinegar, he is completely healed of his fatal injuries and his power increases greatly when the Makyo Star is in Earth's orbit. As a result, he ultimately becomes much larger and more muscular, as well as more vicious and bloodthirsty. He again fights Gohan for a while as Vinegar simultaneously battles Krillin. He and Gohan seem evenly matched, even when he has progressed to his muscular form. Later, when Gohan is caught in the middle of Spice and Vinegar, he witnesses an injured Krillin falling, resulting in his anger exploding, and unleashing his latent power. He executes Spice and Vinegar at the same time with a powerful Double Masenko.

Sansho

Sansho is a large, grey, muscular henchman of Garlic Jr. With long red-purple sideburns, he is the strong and silent type of the group. In the Ocean Dub, his battle phrase is "Pepperoni". However, in the FUNimation Dub his battle phrase has been changed to "Cheese". While in the Japanese Dub it is "Unaju" (eel rice). He appears in the movie Dragon Ball Z: Dead Zone.
Sansho is first seen when he attacks Piccolo with Ginger and Nicky. He and his comrades then kidnap Gohan at Goku's house in order to have the Dragon Ball on his hat. Later, Sansho and Ginger find and bring the last Dragon Balls to Garlic Jr. who summons Shenron and wishes for immortality. Sansho, Ginger and Nicky fight Goku after Goku arrives at Garlic Jr.'s fortress to save Gohan. At one point, Sansho becomes separated from his comrades and tries to attack Krillin but is stopped by Piccolo. Though he states that he does not need Ginger and Nicky's help to finish the Namekian off, he is still quickly slain after Piccolo punches him through several pillars and is destroyed by a Ki Blast.

Nicky

Nicky is a tall, white haired, blue henchman of Garlic Jr. from the movie Dragon Ball Z: Dead Zone.
Nicky also appears to have a fondness for fruit, as shown when he and the others kidnapped Gohan, he was seen plucking several apples into his mouth.

Afterwards, Nicky was assigned to watch over Gohan. It proved to be a daunting task. When Gohan ate a piece of fruit from a tree that was in the courtyard, he became delusional and started to see unusual things, much to Nicky's dismay. Later, when Goku and Kami arrived, Nicky pulled a sword out of his leg to fight Goku. Despite this, Goku used his Power Pole to knock Nicky into a nearby tower. He was then killed by a Kamehameha that also destroyed Ginger.
Nicky later makes a cameo appearance in movie #12, Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn, along with countless other Dragon Ball antagonists, but with an unusual coloring.

Ginger

Ginger is the leader of Garlic Jr.'s original trio of henchmen in Dragon Ball Z: Dead Zone. It is assumed that Ginger was originally a follower of Garlic, and along with Nicky and Sansho, he cared for and raised Garlic Jr. following the entrapment of the boy's father at the hands of Kami. The smallest of the three, Ginger is the one who most closely resembles Garlic Jr. in his overall appearance, except for his skull-like nose which gives him the appearance of a vampire bat. He has dark olive skin and red eyes, and is typically seen wearing a large dark cloak.
Together with Nicky and Sansho, and with a bulked-up Garlic Jr. looking on, Ginger attacked and defeated Piccolo in the hopes of killing him - and Kami. Later while searching for Dragon Balls, Ginger sought the four-star Dragon Ball on Gohan's hat, and easily incapacitated Chi-Chi and Ox-King when they refused to hand it over. As Gohan himself refused to give up the ball and ran, Ginger simply snatched him up and returned to Garlic Jr.'s fortress. Here, Ginger was more than a bit surprised at Garlic's decision to keep Gohan and train him.
Later Ginger and Sansho collected the final two Dragon Balls for their master, and Ginger led the cheers of victory when Garlic Jr. successfully wished for immortality. Upon the arrival of Goku, Ginger made it a point to prevent him from reaching his son at all costs, joining Nicky and Sansho in fighting the Saiyan. Ginger used a variety of abilities during his fight with Goku. At the outset, he, like the other two, grew in size and strength (by shouting "Gingerbread!"). When the fight carried to the fortress exterior, Ginger displayed his most unusual talent, pulling a pair of scimitars out from his arms in order to use them in combat.
Goku, using only his Power Pole to fend off the deadly warriors, successfully held Ginger at bay and eventually relieved him of his swords, prompting Ginger to attack the Saiyan with his fists. Goku deflected the henchman's blows and stunned Ginger with some punches of his own, before kicking him in the back and knocking him off the balcony they had been fighting on. As he fell, Ginger turned and fired a Full Power Energy Wave up at Goku, who countered with a Kamehameha. This easily countered Ginger's blast and then hit Ginger himself, propelling him towards Nicky, who had already been knocked into an adjacent tower earlier in the battle.
The Kamehameha blast quickly pushed Ginger directly on top of Nicky and the tower, destroying them both together and burying them in the rubble. Ginger's hand poked out from the rubble and twitched some, but went limp as he expired a few seconds later.

Garlic Jr

Garlic Jr. (ガーリック・ジュニア, Gaarikku Jyunia) is a Makyan from the Dragon Ball Z series. He is the main antagonist in the first Dragon Ball Z film, Dead Zone. Though defeated in Dead Zone, he reappears in the in the anime gap between the Frieza and Trunks Sagas, and battles once more against the combined efforts of Krillin, Piccolo, and Gohan. The puns on the names of Garlic Jr. and those affiliated with him are all derivatives of spices.
Garlic's father was imprisoned by Kami in the realm of darkness, leaving Garlic Jr. with a deep feeling of resentment and desire for revenge. A squat and off-putting looking dwarf of a demon, Garlic Jr. is the only character in the Dragon Ball series ever successfully granted eternal life by the Dragon Balls, thanks to his trio of lackeys Nicky, Ginger, and Sansho gathering them from around the globe. In the process, they kidnapped Gohan for the Four-Star Ball sewn onto his cap and hurt Chi-Chi, thus earning the ire of Goku.
While Gohan was being held captive, Garlic Jr. senses his power and decides to make Gohan his disciple. Delirious with joy after the granting of his wish, Garlic Jr. is then accosted by Goku and Kami, and resolves to settle an old score with the latter. Many ages ago, it was Kami who defeated his father, Garlic, for the throne of Guardian, vanquishing him and his demon hordes as a result. Now fearing nothing thanks to his newfound immortality, Garlic's son intended to return the favor.
While Garlic Jr. is preoccupied making good his grudge with Kami, Goku engages his minions, who bulk-up twice their size in the ensuing battle. Not long after Krillin and Piccolo (who had survived an earlier attack by the villain's underlings) make their appearance, and the three henchmen meet an early end. Piccolo sends Sansho flying into the ceiling then fries him with a ki blast for a painful death. Goku kills Nicky and Ginger with one directed Kamehameha, blowing them up into each other. Beset now by the combined might of Earth's greatest fighters, Garlic Jr. goes from miniature to gigantic, shifting into a brutish second form able to handle both Goku and Piccolo at once. It is a back-and-forth confrontation; being immortal, the heroes can do no real damage to Garlic Jr., and Goku and Piccolo are too resilient to fall to any of the monster's attacks. Livid, Garlic Jr. opens up the portal known as the Dead Zone, intending to suck his enemies into a void, whence they could never return. Upon seeing his father and friends in danger, the power latent within Gohan explodes, and enraged, he attacks and overwhelms an awed Garlic Jr.
While he might live forever, Garlic Jr.'s powers are finite, and Gohan knocks him into his own vortex to be trapped for all of eternity.
